Interests

Due to his personal path in the engineering world, Shai is a great believer in sharing and acquiring knowledge. One of Shai’s passions is teaching and making sure that the next generation of engineers is well versed and has a solid foundation of knowledge to build upon. This passion does not stem from personal recognition and appreciation, but instead, it is driven to create the next generation of mentors and future industry subject matter experts.

Personal interests include soccer, tennis, and ping pong.

Show Highlights

  •  Energy modeling and design can coexist in their interactions.

  • Demystify the different components and types of commissioning in the marketplace.

  • Tips to excel in both fundamental  commissioning and retro commissioning to optimize those systems.

  • The critical role mentorships play in shaping the knowledge and to the next generation in the industry.

  • An inside look at what a director of commissioning auditor looks for in projects.

  • Recommendations for unfamiliar systems and credentials not usually achieved to understand opportunities to save energy, how energy is being spent, drawn from the grid, and what calculations come with it.

  • Learn what is going to push companies and cities to the next level in efficiency.

“Another great mentor took me under his wing for about two years and showed me how to design mechanical systems and much more throughout the day. It showed me what it is to be a mentor. But all they (mentors) have done for me was not for their gain, it's for my gain. It's put in me the fact that I need to support the next generation of young engineers. It's not for my success, it's for their success. So they can become great mentors for the ones after.”
